craftgrrl | Taking a break from work...

Does anybody have any really fun craft projects for Halloween? Something a bit out of the ordinary? I haven't had the chance the past few years to go crazy...but this year I do, PLUS we now live in an area where children exist and will show up at our door on Halloween.

Also, here are my three newest creations:

Okay, so...shrinky dink is fun, and I keep coming back to it for crafty-goodness! This time, I got out my old sketchbook and traced a tree I once drew....and this is how it turned out! (these pictures aren't that good, :P)

Then I decided I wanted to go through my stash of briolettes and use some, so I made this cute little necklace, using a little circle of translucent clay (sick of it yet? lol) with a bird impression (and painted) and hung this cute little faceted olive jade briolette from it.

And then I went back to the shrinky dink..haha. This time, for a hand-drawn deer standing in some grass (I know, I'm not the best artist, but I think it's not bad :P) with another briolette..this time a faceted blue amazonite. I ended up putting a magnetic clasp on this necklace to give it a bit more weight. (You can tell the clasp is magnetic in the 2nd picture, due to the jumbled ball of chain :P )
