...and we are doing a production of the matchmaker by thornton wilder.  hopefully I'll be watching the movie soon.  well anyway, it takes place in the 1880's or 1890's and i was wondering if anyone had any good resources, like pictures (pattern suggestions maybe???) that would fit this time period.  its a high school production, but i don't really want them to suck.  i know I'm going to need a lot of lace trim and satin and velvet and bustles and gloves for the girls but I'm completely clueless other wise.  I've been sewing for a while but this will be my first time using a real pattern and I'm not sure how good my partner is at sewing but I don't think she sucks.

this site has a lot of fancier things but thats not really what I'm looking for, i think its more of an upper-middle class setting.

this site is more what i'm looking for (as it is another school production of the same play i came across)

so i guess what I'm asking for is more period pieces pictures (for girls and boys) like the second link and/or specific patterns that would fit in this period and not really 'elegant' pieces.  also, if you know about good accessories/shoes/anything that would be cool too!

thanks so much for anything you can give me
