Well, it's certianly been a loooong time since I posted something that wasn't text only, and a stupid question. But here's an update on what I've been up to. I posted to craftster a week or so ago, and will be cross-posting with the crochetcrochet community, so my apologies for any of you who have seen it before.
So... can you..... Spot the Craft??

These are just the center pieces for what will eventually become polygons with 6 sides (the proper name eludes me at the moment...) for an afghan that I started right around three years ago with the intention of finishing it by the start of my sophomore year in college. Sophomore year came and went, and I am now a junior with senior standing set to graduate in may... and I only have 25/175 polygons compleate.
So I've decided to get working and split it all up into more manageable chunks, since each polygon takes me about an hour. So I'm crocheting 50 flower centers, then I'll go back and finish them up. I will then repeat the process twice until I finish, dag-nabbit!
So this is what I had done as of two weeks ago. I've done 15 more flowers since then, and one more night of crocheting should bring me to the point where I can start finishing them up.

I hope you enjoyed!
If you are interested in more frequent afghan updates and my attempts to cook in a kitchenette smaller than my fridge at home, check out my blog as well. There should be a link on my lj-page.
