[identity profile] sugarfreeandi.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
Okay, so it's my first post to this community after having lurked for a few weeks...

I've always been fairly hands on and crafty, but after school (where I absolutely adored art and textiles classes), about six years ago now, my crafting and tinkering slowed down. This place has inspired me so much, that a couple of weekend ago, I dragged my sorry backside down to IKEA and my local craft store (and my dads shed, of which lurks an insane number of half used paint pots) and set about creating myself a crafting/work space in the corner of my rather dinky bedroom.

I used...

&

* leftover blue paint from my walls
* spray on acrylic -
* sandpaper
* household scissors
* pva glue
* thick ribbon (for the chair), thin ribbon (to edge the table top)
* 4 for a £1, out of date comic books
* black marker pen(bargin!)

Overall, the project cost me about £27, not including the materials I already had knocking around. Not too bad, could have been cheaper if I went and hunted out a second hand chair and/or table, but considering I now have space to craft and a ton of motivation, I'd say it was money well spent! :)

Andrea.
