I crocheted this little FSM up last Holiday Season to go on my mom's tree.

He took all of 15 minutes and if you wanna know how to make him, let me know in comments and I'll edit with instructions.

First, crochet out a line, occasionally looping it around on itself to make the noodley mass. I used a small hook and off-white/cream yarn.

Occasionally just crochet back through your line (like you were doing rows, only hook through once and keep going), pick at random to make it look, um, noodley. Do this until you have the desired size/density. The more loops you make, the denser your FSM will be.
Then crochet a few separate lines. I think I just sewed or tied mine in; either will work.
For his eye stalks, I used twist ties cause that's all I had, but could use pipe cleaners. I wrapped two twist ties (twisted together to make a longer one) with the same yarn. Push one end of the eye stalk through the noodle "body" so you have two stalks sticking out & bend them to suit your liking. I sewed them into the "body" for extra stability.

I then made small yarn balls and glued them to the tips of the eye stalks and then glued google eyes on.
For the meat balls, I made pom poms:
Make 2 cardboard "donuts" (circles with holes)and then:

Then I just sewed the pom poms into the body and VOILA! Now you can touch others with His noodley appendages!
Note: when preaching the word of the FSM, one much be dressed in full pirate regalia. :)
