Another Halloween Costume
Oct. 21st, 2007 07:01 pmI finished my Halloween costume last night and I'm pretty excited that it came out so well since it's the first time in over ten years that I've made anything using a pattern, and even then it was a stuffed animal that came out looking a little wonky.
My husband is going as Mario and I'm going as Princess Peach. I don't have my wig or gloves yet but I'm too excited about the dress to wait.

Finished product:

I obviously didn't make it with the same neck line as hers but that's because I'm a really inexperienced sewer and I didn't think I could alter the pattern that much without messing it up. I think it's close enough though.
I also bought some fabric today to try to make a turnip purse:

I also have a little yellow umbrella that I'm going to turn into her little parasol by sewing white and blue lace on the edge and then drawing a face on it.
