sorry my face was an eyesore.

This was my very first time at attempting to reconstruct clothing. I think I did a fine job! I love the colors of this, and the way the lining of the hood looks when I put it up. I love the patches my boyfriend put on it too!

I took my favorite hoodie and cut the dress off at the same length...

My fabric box, and the hoodie with just the sleeves on.

I took the sleeves off of an old lambwool sweater I found in a free pile behind The Alberta Street CoOp. They were pretty tricky to get on, but it only took me some pinning to figure it all out.

My boyfriend likes to sit in his underwear and cut out patches for my hood.

and his silly beagle likes to sit on top of sofas.

Oh! Sorry, back to the crafts...

I lined the hood with another dress (that i don't have a picture of.) and also used the same fabric for the ribbing at the bottom.
You can kinda see the bottom in this photo:

The right side of the hood is adorned with some squiggles, and dots.

Smiling is hard to do when I take pictures of myself... so i turn out looking emoish.

aaaaand the left side of the hood.

My hippy boyrfriend decided that I needed some peace and love to pull it all together.

I had so much fun doing this, I'm going to do another this week. I need to find pink sleeves, since the dress I'm going to use is pink.
Good thing I live in Portland, Oregon and there are free piles all over this city. :D
