day of the dead/mexican type crafts

Morning all,

a friend is having a Mexican themed bbq for her birthday. I would like to make her some Mexican crafts but you cant buy the skeleton themed ones over here (we're in Australia).

 I figure i can get fabrics etc off ebay no probs. But can anyone suggest some sites with examples of the work which i could use for inspiration, or even tutes? I haven't really seen any related crafts over here at all, so I'm a bit in the dark...

here's purse I made. It needs a  fastener, but i couldn't find where I'd hidden them...

Lastly, are there any UK crafters on here? I'm visiting in january for a month with my fiancee and would love some ideas of crafty places I would enjoy etc etc (feel free to add me as a friend if this is you).
