a variety of projects
Nov. 15th, 2007 09:13 pmI'm very much an eclectic crafter--I tend to make things that I need/wanted when I don't want to buy them or think that I can try to make them. Under the cut are two purses, a CD player case, and a scarf-in-progress....

the first purse I ever crocheted. It was a combination of wanted a crocheted purse and having some leftover yarn, and it was almost entirely freehand.

I didn't plan how I was going to fasten the top, hence the loop-and-button approach. The button was baked years ago out of leftover clay, so I made even that. :P

Here is a much classier purse I made last winter. The materials are from Heirloom catalogue's quilting kit--I've had the kit since I was eighth and never made any of the projects, so I had ready material. I kind of made up this one, too...patterns never quite turn out how they are supposed to for me.

On the same vein of making things I need, I made this CD player holder out of leftover quilting materials/fabric from a 5th grade home ec project.

Last but not least, an unfinished Christmas gift for my boyfriend--a scarf. Guess I'd better get cracking; there's not much to it right now. To me it is a novelty because it is the second time I have made a scarf with an actual pattern.
