GAH!!!

I'm so frustrated. I've probably made a dozen of these things, but I can only find "portfolio" pics of 3, and "in use shots" of two or three others. Sorry guys. It's not a great selection, but if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them. I'm now considering making a tutorial too, but that'll have to wait until next fall at the earliest (I'm "stuck" in Scotland w/ no supplies until August.)

This one was actually one of my earlier ones (like #4 or so, I think) and was a commission for a friend of mine (she has a bright bay, it's quite flattering on him.) Soft cotton knit camo, cotton bias tape, gold braid.

This was another commission for the same friend, same time, but made second. She's only hardcore sometimes. Woven quilting cotton fashion fabric, cotton bias tape, weird polyester and gold braid.

This next is one of my absolute favourites. It's the last one I made before I left for University, and it's a commission for another friend. The main fabric is actually an imported Scottish wool in her family tartan. I can't believe how lucky I was to find pre-made bias tape and piping in absolutely perfectly matched colours.

I'm sad I can't show you one of my other favourites, apparently I forgot to take pictures. I had my last 3-Day Event scheduled a month before I left and no proper dressage pad to fit my new dressage saddle, so I made one. My trainer's all anal and hated it, but I love it. It's a white moire taffeta, so in the light it shimmers like water-marked silk. So sad I have no photos, but don't ever be afraid to use an awesome fabric, it held up great (I did the bottom/horse side in black broadcloth.)

Some in-use shots now:

My second commission, a very early attempt, but in this photo it's probably 2 years old, and still holding up great. Quilting woven cotton, cotton bias tape, white polyester braid.

My cross-country show pad/favourite schooling pad (for the colour (more woven quilting cotton) and the silver piping):
