I had seen commercial versions of shoe shaped ring holders such as this. I did not like the excessive glitz and the fact that the shoe is not actual size.

• A visit to Goodwill for a $2 pair of leather heels.
• Fill toe of an old knee high stocking with sand. Tie off. Cover with velvet and glue into toe of shoe. (weight so shoe does not fall over)
• Scrap foam covered with black velvet. Glue into shoe.
• Add trim (sequins, leather bow etc)
