craftgrrl | for knitters and crochet... ers? crochetesses? crochetiers?

Hi!

I'm a member of a swap group on LJ called

stitchmysquare , that is specifically for making and then trading 8x8 squares (crochet or knit).

I've had fun trading squares with folks all over the place, and just thought some of y'all might be interested... you can collect and then make up into a crazy blanket, or whatever you want. (clothing, art, whatever... no judgments here *grin*)

It's also a great way to use up little extra bits of yarn, or try out new pattern stitches! You can even make squares out of your gauge swatches... I know I hate to waste anything. :)

edit: but wait, there's more! not as impressive as some others, but I like the log-cabin quilt square effect and think it turned out pretty ok. It's more vibrantly turquiose-y in person.
