Valentines!
Jan. 14th, 2008 07:29 pmWell, after finding out saturday morning that my husband and I are going to have a baby, I decided to take it easy all weekend and work on my favorite annual craft project.
These were made with felt, paper lace doilies (a huge obsession of mine--i buy them on clearance every year, despite the fact that I probably have twenty packages of them already), and some leftover ribbon from our wedding.

These are made using the little thumbnail previews on the back of my calendar from last year. I always hate throwing away perfectly good calendar pictures. I glued them to more paper doilies, and glued those to cardstock that I had thoroughly glittered with a very nice glass glitter. Glitter is such an ephemeral thing, it's impossible to photograph well.

I really can't get enough of felt and glitter and lace and paper doilies. I want to dive into a swimming pool full of it. Given my current state, that may not be the wisest move.
*edited for wtfness. somehow lj managed to completely scramble the order of my pictures and captions in the process of posting this.
