Crafts for anxiety
Jan. 23rd, 2008 11:58 amHello,
I thought I'd pick your wonderfully creative minds on something. I've been suffering from multiple anxiety disorders for the past year. I can no longer work and getting out of the house is hard. I'm going to be at home alone soon (my bf will be returning to work ft) and I am concerned about how I will spend the time. Anxiety is very hard in that it's difficult to distract yourself. Many of my hobbies are things I can no longer do due to my conditions.
I've always been a craft/art enthusiast, but never really had any formal training, skills, etc. I do know it makes me happy. I'm wondering if anyone might have some suggestions on what types of crafts, etc. I could easily do to occupy my mind and hands! I'm looking for something that is easy but that will be a distraction- kinda something I can just go on autopilot and do. It also needs to be VERY inexpensive as I have no income at this time and fairly easy to learn.
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.
