First Post!
Jan. 25th, 2008 07:42 pmI'll be 17 in a few days and I've been sewing for a while now. I've been studying art for the majority of my life and crafting has become a recent obsession of mine.
Okay. so for a while I was really into making jewelry and I made all my girl friends earings similar to these for Christmas:
They're really easy to make.
I also made a few necklaces and pendants (I noticed that there was a heavy load of shinky dink stuff on here so I guess I'm glad to contribute some more)

Yes, I've only recently discovered that shrinky-dinks can be di-cut... and it was revolutionary. The process, however, is incredibly tedious and accidents are VERY prone to happen. Moving on to some sewing projects...
I don't have a job so I live off of my allowance and occassionally selling some stuff to people at school. I found out that totes are very popular among high school girls so I started making them.

(these are the ones I sold)
This is a lunch bag I just made today out of fused plastic. I really like this process but it gets frustrating because it takes a while to get the iron temperature to match the thickness of the plastic.
some other plastic things:

That last one is a Christmas present I made for my boyfriend.
annnnd... AT LAST!
my birthday dress:

I found a really cute dress like this on Urban Outfitters but it was way too expensive so I made my own out of an old shirt that was too short on me anyways, an old skirt, some scrap black satin.
I really hope you guys enjoy! Comments and/or criticism is welcome!
