Painted Cell Phones
Jan. 26th, 2008 07:06 pmOh hey,
I've always wanted to paint my boring old cell phone but never did because I was afraid of voiding my warranty.
But guess what? It got run over by a car! Luckily it still works but have you ever seen a broken LCD screen? Yep - that's my phone now. Anyways, now that it's a peice of garbage anyway I want to paint it. What kind of paint should I use? Anybody here paint a cell phone? Can I see pictures? Thanks!
Oh - and some shoes.
Thanks for looking!

Oh - and some shoes.
Thise shoe was sewn entirely by hand - no glue. Notice how it's mate is missing? Yeah ... that one was glued together two hours before we went out dancing. By the way, Dorothy form the Wizard of Oz is not a very good clubbing costume.

This damn shoe took me two months to do. No wonder the other shoe turned out the way it did.

These were some plain old canvas tennis shoes that I had purchased for our 1950s themed Dry Grad. I had originally sharped them to look like saddle shoes. However, after the Dry Grad I had no use for sharpied saddle shoes. Alas! These babies were born!

they look a little worn because they are three years old now.

I used fabric paint and I am so impressed at how well it's held up to the wear and tear.

Left toe. It says: "All you need is LOVE" because I was eighteen and thought it was true. And then I moved out on my own and realized that you also need toilet paper and electricity and textbooks. (I'm only half kidding)

Left side view.

Left heel. I especially like the two suns. I should've added one more and then I could've been like, "Dark Crystal Shoes!"

Hello, right toe.

Right heel. I really liked the hearts from the left shoe, so...

Right side view. Purple tiger stripes? Oh yeah!
