Please let me know if my image before the cut is too large. I sized it to 600 pixels wide, but I can't tell at all. I'm happy to resize it if it causes a problem.
This is kind of Part II of my last post (with the Dotee Doll). I made a deco/mini/friendship book thing for the same handmade item swap.

I had to read up on what a deco was, so I'm not entirely sure I've done the right thing, but I'm pretty happy with the results all the same.

The front cover featuring my very sophisticated flattening technique.

Aerial shot of the book and binding. If you look closely, the inside page features the theme of the book, which is "My favorite food." It's an accordion book attached to a cover with glue.

The page I decorated. I like the sweet stuff. I'm not the world's best collage artist, but I do like color. Also, ignore my chipping nail polish. It was fun for the day it lasted.

And the back cover. Voila. The end.
I also wanted to recommend a book to everyone who is interested in making big and little books. It's called How to Make Books, and it's put together by the lovely people at Purgatory Pie Press. They give some really great instructions and illustrations related to making a whole bunch of different kinds of books -- sewn bindings, glued bindings, covers, cloth books, etc. It's great for beginners (like me!).
Thanks for looking and reading. :)
