DIY + recycling = cute bangle bracelets!

Added: a second picture

I followed these instructions to make two pop tab bracelets. My 11-year-old thinks hers is pretty cool.

Before beginning I washed the tabs in warm soapy water and dried on a towel. Instructions were modified as follows: I used silver cord instead of black which makes the bracelet look completely metallic. The cord is fairly thick and less stretchy, so I used longer lengths (and more pop tabs). I found the bracelets are a bit scratchy when tightly against the skin, so I made bangle styles instead. Even if you want "tight" bracelets I recommend starting with longer cords so you have more to work with when you tie the knots.)

For my daughter's bracelet I started with 14 inch cords and 24 pop tabs. For my bracelet I used 18 inch cords and 28 tabs.

BTW, I think I originally found the link to the instructions posted here, so thanks. :D
