Feb. 11th, 2008 04:19 pmI have another (kinda long winded) question for you guys about silver chain....
so a few weeks ago Micheals had a sale and i snagged some 94 cm long silver chain for $3 a pop, sweet...
now i looked and looked all over the package and no where did it state the type of metal that was used to make the silver chain. it was Metal Madness chain btw.
so, being that my skin will react to most non sterling silver/stainless steel metals i figured i'd use myself as a guinea pig and made my self a necklace with said chain.
so far i've been wearing the neckalce non stop for a week, even wore it in showers to speed up any reaction my skin may have. and my skin is clear and not even irritated at all.
so here's a picture of the chain:

the links are open and when i open the links to take out a necklace sized section the link doesn't look plated at all.
does it look like sterling silver to you guys? i know it's hard to tell really from the picture. i'm just scared to list it as sterling on my online shop if it's not.
