Those pesky Valentine's.
Feb. 16th, 2008 10:21 amI didn't get out cards for Halloween this past go around like I really wanted to which has so many fun oppertunities. Missed Yule for making the presents themselves, so that's kinda a fair trade. But I really didn't want to miss valentine's day (though I admit they are only getting in the mail today so I could be selfish and scan them and didn't have the equipment till yesterday...). So here's to the crafts of the week.
Text below each image...

Flower over the moon. The flower is cut from scrapbook paper, the "moon" from origami paper.

Cut Flower. Flower and stem cut from two differnt scrapbook papers of the same design. Onto cardstock.

Star cut tree. The top star image is a cut of a flowering dogwood pic from an old datebook, the second star is origami paper. Onto cardstock, with alternate fold. Really pleased with this one, it goes to my Mom. :)

Triple heart. Sharpies and gel-pen, I thought they had the most impack for this design without driving a perfectionist nuts with trying to cut everything just right and keep it all neat. Comes from the triple moon symbol of some pagan beliefs, where it's waxing moon, full moon and waning. Makes a nice, sharp image I think.

Valentine's Obviously. My husband enjoys fark.com... when this idea took seed in my head, it strangled out all others. Origami paper, caligraphy marker, heart punches and tea bag string.

Devil heart. An oldie but a goodie. For my brother, we get a bit punchy with cards. Both bits cut from origami paper.
Wishing everyone love and craftyness :)
