Easy knitting pattern required

craftgrrlI want to knit some very simple sweaters to donate to our local SPCA to keep the puppies warm. Like these:

Any of you have a good, simple pattern? Or even a simple pattern for one I could machine sew out of fleece?
Also, (so this isn't just a question type post) here's my first-ever skirt I made. Crappy photo. Black fabric with pink skulls. Now that I've worn it I think it's too long and shapeless, so I'm about to try and shorten it so I can wear it with a petticoat peeking out. I'll post the 'after' photo if I'm successful.
