Mar. 4th, 2008 05:50 pmhey missys! i'm back with a new batch of goodies :) this time: jewelery. mostly rings, some earrings, a couple bracelets, and a hair bow. once again, beware there's TOOOOONS of pics.
okay, so sorry again for the photo quality. i still haven't figured out why the pics come out complete fine and clear when i upload them onto my comp. and why they look like this when i upload them onto photobucket (same thing for flikr too.)and they're the same size. oh well, enough ramble, onto the goods!
this is the first ring i've ever made. it's made w/ sculpy clay (painted pink with acrylics),beads and the little skull charm is from an old pair of earrings.
back view. i made all the ring backs using regular jewelery wire. i wrap it around my finger twice to size it, and then wrap/coil, tightly, excess wire around that. great explanation huh? haha!
action shot.
again, started off as white clay. after it was done baking, i painted it.
same ingredients as above, only the little skully, i first painted on paper, cut out, then glued on the ring. oh! and all the rings are topped with mod podge.
this is my favorite one so far! the plaid is actually part of some starlets dress that i cut out of a magazine. the little skull (can you tell i love skulls?!)was made the same way as above. i added two little rhinstones and an itty bitty bow.
in action.
i like this one too. the text was taken from a tabloid mag. i actually wouldn't mind doing this one over though, it looks a bit wonky.
pooooooooooooh!
this was painted with some glittery red nail polish. and i used a bigger gauge wire.
i heart pooh :)
super simple bead ring.
another bead ring. i got the idea for this type of ring, as well as for the ring backs (wire part) from bust (i think it's called) magazine.
button bracelet.
my favorite! a pastry charm bracelet!
all the pastries were made with clay, painted with water colors and topped with clear nail polish rather than mod podge.
super simple felt hair bow.
little skully charms, waiting to be used.
spongebob earrings. made from flattened pennys from great america. i didn't notice til after the pic that one was broken.
and last but not least earrings...that the husband made! i was sittin' one day, doing some beading and he was like, "let me try". so he grabbed some beads and came up with this! great for his first try. ain't he awesome!
man, that was a lot of pics! maybe i shoulda divided it into two posts. well, if you're still here, thanks for lookin' and hope you liked!
