Hello!

I stumbled upon this crafty place with the help of my Stumble button.  I have been looking through the entries and everything looks so nice.  I got a lot of inspiration just from looking at all of the posts.  I went a little crazy and spent hours looking through the archives rather than doing my break homework.  It was definitely worth it!

About me: I'm in college.  I like to make things when I'm not doing homework or reading.  I got started with crocheting when my mom taught me the basics back during middle school.  The first thing I made was supposed to be a scarf - it came out like a triangle.  I then moved on to jewelry making.  Now, I'm branching out to areas of general craftiness as I get ready to move into my first very own house.  It's very nice to meet you all!

Happy crafting!

The original clock, $5 at a local thrift store.

The finished project:  I'm kind of disappointed that my measurements were off.  You can still see a lot of blue around the second clock.

This is a detail of what I used for the numbers.  They are meant for scrapbooking, courtesy of Michaels.

At the last minute, I decided to paint the second hand.  I'm so glad I did, I love it the detail!

I decided to make a matching mirror from this ugly brown one I had lying around.

The finished mirror!

Mirror detail: It's definitely not perfect.  Word of advice... don't get too excited that you can't wait for the paint to dry to put the border on.

And finally, a scarf I made.  I decided to call the pattern Alpine, because the shape of the cross stitches remind me of mountains and wintry sweaters.

What do you guys think?
