[identity profile] eyeswideshut28.livejournal.com posting in [community profile] craftgrrl
I have 9 weeks to go before my baby comes and decided it was time to start making up some clothes.  That and, my ankles are swollen and I need to be productive while I sit with my feet in the air :) So, instead of welding, which requires a lot of standing, I decided to put away my leathers and pick up a hook for a while.  Here is a lil summer fluff I whipped up with some scrap yarn in about 3 hours last night--look! I may have enough yarn left for matching booties :)

Oh, before I show the picture, whoever posted the Russian join in [profile] crochetcrochet  yesterday is the bomb!  I cant even see the joint at all and I have no worries that it will come unraveled.  No more knotting and weaving for me :)

Also, I took to writing each step of my pattern on a seperate index card, puchning a hole through them all and stringing a ribbon, keychain loop, etc through the holes.  It worked out awesome as well and I never lost my place because it was right there on the last card I looked at.  As I moved through the deck, I just flipped the cards.  It went so much faster and my pattern isn't covered with highlighter marks.  Definately do this you guys, it helps so much.

Here is the baby summer dress I made:
