Robots and messenger bags, oh my!
Apr. 10th, 2008 03:35 pmHere are some things I made recently - I don't think I've posted them before!

I love the Japanese robot fabric on the arms!
This was for a craft swap I did with a friend at work. She gave me a drawing of my rats in return. (The red embroidery on the tummy says 'HOL-E BOT' - her name is Holly and I was trying to be amusing/futuristic).
Pattern from Wee Wonderfuls.

Being modelled by my ever-patient boyfriend.
Made from an XL Postal Service t-shirt, using this tutorial from Craftster. Made for a friend's birthday. Tartan lining to remind her of Scotland, where she did her Undergrad. I bought all the components for the adjustable strap and put them together - tri-glide buckle thing, nylon webbing, etc. I was impressed that I managed to get it to work! It looked almost like a real bag. The bag is now in California, toting things around in the sunshine :o)
