My sister sent me some beading supplies for my birthday in November. I forgot I had them. Last night, I spent a couple of hours brainstorming and making these little gems out of them.

I made them for one of my lj-friends who is also an IRL friend (so I'm not mentioning a name in case she actually sees this). She's getting married next month but I can't make it, so I figured I'd send along something pretty since I can't be there (wow, that sounded vain!)

I figured, since they're having a beachy honeymoon (Costa Rica or something like that), they'd be a good set to wear. Also, she's not really into bling too much, so it's better than rhinestones and gaudy goop.

The earrings don't look so good in the pic as they do in person. Laying flat isn't their style. Between each of the shell pieces is a round bead to separate them.

The set is very simple, just like my friend would prefer, I'd think.
What do you think of them?

edit: Oh, and the thing in the center of the bracelet is a ring. I've not mastered the art of making rings out of anything but faux hemp so far. All my wireworking breaks for some reason. Question: those of you who use wire for rings, how do you keep it from breaking?

Thanks.
