My Mum wants to make a baby afghan and sweater set for my cousin's impending sprog, and she wants to make it camo. Not that I condone this project in any way, shape or form, of course. *thud* Y'know Jeff Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck ..." routine? Yeah, most of those fit my family to a T, and we're not even Southern!
Now, considering yarn is what, less than an eighth of an inch wide, I don't think there really is any possible way to get a "camo" pattern that would be much different than regular ol' variegated yarn. Just the repetition of the stitches makes the camo blotches, right?
Thanks!
Edit: I should have mentioned, I did Google for camo yarn, and I saw that several companies do make it; I just couldn't see a major difference between that and regular variegated yarns. As I said to commenters, however, I think the camo yarns appear to have distinct chunks of color without fading to the next color, like variegated yarns tend to have.
