Cool Bleached Striped Shirt
Apr. 22nd, 2008 11:43 amThis is my first striped shirt using beach, I really love it....instructions under cut :)
1) get a black t-shirt - I used a plain black shirt from H&M.

2) place cardboard inside shirt to separate fabric and for stability, then using painters tape - tape on the stripes, use a ruler to accurately separate stripes (I used thumb tacks to hold the shirt down on the bottom because it liked to roll up).

3) spray the front and back with straight bleach.

4) blot dry with a paper towel - remove tape when you've reached your desired bleach tones. Then wash in cold water (use fabric softener), and hang dry. Yay awesome shirt!

I over saturated the back with bleach but it still looks cool.
