Easy Earth Day Project
Apr. 22nd, 2008 01:16 pmMy friend who is an elementary school teacher gave me the idea to decorate a reusable bag for Earth Day. My husband and I already have about 15 bags that we take shopping with us so we don't end up with plastic. However, my mom doesn't have any reusable bags so I thought it'd be the perfect opportunity to let my 15 month old (James) have some fun and give something to his grandma that was Earth Day appropriate.

Completed project with help from mama:

I bet kids of any age would have fun with this very simple craft. The fabric markers I found at Michael's are non-toxic. Thankfully James didn't try drawing on his hair or face like he does with crayons but he did get some on his hand and it came right off. It also wiped off the tray of the high chair really easy too. It was only on there for a few minutes so I don't know what prolonged exposure would do but they seem to clean up really well.
