hiya !

here's what ive been working on for the past week while watching reruns of the maury show

so, what happened here was i took some old t-shirts and a kid sized tie dyed dress thing, cut them up, sewed them together, and made this dress. i don't have a sewing machine so i had to sew it all together by hand, which was kind of annoying, but i think the end result was worth it :). i realized as i was about to sew the tie dyed part that that fabric wasn't stretchy, and since it's a fitted dress i had a mini freak out because there was no way i would have been able to put it on without it stretching. so i ended up making the front part kind of wrap around and i added about 7 snap thingies, which ended up looking weird so i made a last minute tied belt thingy to cover it up. uurrm, yeah. i'm waiting for a good occasion so i can wear it out and brag about it :)

so i'm going to visit my boyfriend this tuesday, anddd since his favorite animal is a gorilla i decided to surprise him and make him a stuffed animal gorilla. i spent a pretty long time looking for a tutorial or something on how to make one, and i dont know why but there is absolutely NOTHING online on making anything gorilla related! so i kind of borrowed some ideas from a teddy bear tut i found and then made this guy up as i went along out of some dark grey fleece and stuffing from an old pillow.
