Painted Octopus - I use to make these quite a bit in June 2006 somehow I got sidetracked and I quit. I pulled out all my paints and started again.

I bought the focal bead at a lampwork artist show in Houston. This lady does outstanding work and she is also on Etsy. The beads around it are garnet, bronzite, and glass. It was made as a *nursing necklace and is still strong enough. However, it may be too dressy for most moms. The colors are all my favorite.

Beaded bracelet. I've been really into flower designs lately. This doesn't use any stitch except for the band which is daisy chain. It is loosely (aka looks nothing like) a bracelet in a spring beadwork magazine. I wanted to make a copy of it for myself but again I can't seem to follow directions.

Beadwork Flower Earrings - I was just messing around getting the feel of a placing the beads.

Wire Worked - I really liked these mouse charms but wanted to come up with something a little different. So, I wireworked them onto the teardrop and it sort of looks like he/she is swinging.

Beadworked Earrings - Yeah, not sure what this is. It was a flower but it doesn't look like any flower I've ever seen :)

Again with the weird flowers. I made this to practice the daisy chain. This necklace is LONG and is really pretty. I need to find something that matches it so I can wear it.

Two More Painted Octopus Necklaces

A new design on a *nursing necklace. I criss crossed the wire and crocheted the blue around the beading wire. Makes it a strong design and comfortable to wear.

*What is a Nursing Necklace?
Nursing necklaces are used while nursing a baby or can even be used while feeding via bottle. They are designed to be interesting and fun for baby hands while strong enough to be tugged and yanked. They are also nice enough to be worn just as jewelry.
