Monochrome / checkerboard and skulls
Jul. 18th, 2008 01:08 pmI know. I just posted yesterday, but today, it's MY craft.
I'm totally proud of what I'm posting today. More polymer clay stuff.
I checked out some books from the library about Polymer clay and got some tips as well as ideas for things I could make... I wanted to go simple this time and just use black and white.

this is a set made for my sister's birthday next month.

ring and bracelet

earrings

pendant. This was the first part I made and though it's SO not perfect, I still love it.
I'm going to put it on a black cord and add a clasp to that, but she'll probably put it on a silver chain. Either way. It's versatile.
My next item of excitement is some more black and white I put into a cane.
I'm so excited about it, I haven't even finished slicing the cane or adding it to jewelry.

Can you tell what it is?

SKULLS!

you can see the canes I still have to slice, as well as a ring I'm attempting to make out of some rejected end pieces that I reduced into a TINY cane and that one that's standing up was an end piece that got a hole in his eye, so I gave him a green glass bead that was defective so it looks like an eyeball. He's going to be a cute little pendant or something too.
I'm really excited about these. Made them while watching Pirates of the Caribbean 2 the other night, though that was just ironic. I've been thinking of trying skulls for a week. Glad I pulled it off. Hooray for me.
And because my sister visits my journal from time to time, you're the only ones who will see this entry until her birthday passes. Lucky you's!
What do you think?
Am I way too jazzed up about this stuff???
