Two skirts and a dress
Aug. 3rd, 2008 06:16 pmSo, I made some cute retro inspired clothes, and I thought I'd show 'em off. But additionally, I have a job interview tomorrow afternoon at an ultra-hip vintage clothing store, and I don't know which of my creations to wear to show my fashion sense and highlight my experience working as a seamstress. That's where you come in. You guys always create such beautiful things and look so good doing it, so I'd really appreciate any advice on which one would be the best interview apparel.

This dress is my first experiment with using boning. It was way easier than I thought it would be.

This one is one of my favorite creations ever. It was one of my brother's t-shirts he out grew.

The t-shirt fabric makes it very comfy, but not to formal.

Also my first time lining up large patterned fabric on a side-seam.

As it had a previous life, it has a few small holes, but maybe that just makes it cooler...?

A while ago I decided I wanted a pencil skirt, so I found a pattern and some pinstripe material.

They're a very sinple design, but do take some custom fitting.

Close up of the fabric.
