help please

So I’ve been trying to make a small poly clay version of Lucius Malfoy’s snake head cane from Harry Potter for a Swap on Craftster but I’m having a lot of trouble, do any of you know of any tutes or references that might be helpful? I’ve found a lot of stuff about making cute pen toppers and stuff but none like this. Any help would be rewarded with cookies!
