Stupid question behind the cut tag.

It's about bloody stuff, lol.

I'm trying to make some kind of blood splatter shirt to wear to work for Halloween. I made one last year using a bottle of store bought fake blood. It dried a little light, but worked. However, in one wash it was gone. Didn't stain or stay or anything.

Next idea on a white polo was that RYT dye. Deep red, looks great. Did the shirt up, let it dry over night and tried to wear it not thinking. Well it's hot and it kinda smeared around. Washing it turned the whole thing pink.

So how can I make a bloody splatter t-shirt that will STAY that way? Without the smearing and fading if I wear it? Any ideas on what kind of dye I could use or what kind of product will stain the best?
