Paint question

Hey grrrrls! I need some help, I've got a project for university and need to paint a plastic doll in detail. I'm going to need a few colours so expensive acrylic/enamel model/figurine paint might be too expensive..

How would regular acrylic be at staying on the plastic? Are there other cheap types of paint which would do?

Also a few recent crafty things just so it's not all text





Kind of basic but super duper comfy dress made from my own pattern. It's me that's crooked not the seam!
