Material girl
Sep. 7th, 2008 05:11 pmI finally took some photos of the recent bags I made last weekend. This is my first time posting my stuff here, although I'm a faithful lurker and love keeping up with all the things all of you make ;-) I'm interested to know what you guys think... but be gentle on me, I only taught myself to sew in the last several months...
Both are completely reversible, which makes for two totally different looks in one bag. My idea behind this bag was that I needed something I could take to the library since my husband and I go almost weekly. The size of these bags was made so that they hung nicely off my shoulder while not getting in the way, and could carry multiple books while I'm browsing through the aisles. For me, it's perfect!
The "Fall Sunshine" bag:

The "Dragonfly" bag:

(same bag, reversed)

The background of the dragonfly fabric appears darker than it actually is. It's chocolate brown with black flecks in it, I don't know why the camera doesn't get along with it.

They both have an inside and an outside pocket and a glass bead & loop to close the top. I actually made two of the dragonfly bag, one is already spoken for by an LJ friend of mine, which tickled me to death! I love these bags. I can't believe how well they've turned out.
