Super Simple Fabric Envelope
Sep. 9th, 2008 10:08 pmSo, I'm one of those people who likes to be way overprepared and I carry a lot of stuff with me in my backpack at all times, but I don't want it all like stuffed into my wallet. I have a bunch of things like tissues, my checkbook, a mini notebook, gift cards, etc. that I was carrying around in a grody Ziploc bag forever. However, I found this cute owl print bandana abandoned by a guest at my work, and I was inspired by this post to make an envelope to contain my supposed necessities.

This is what I was using before:

And this is what I made:

It's not perfect, but it'll serve the purpose!
This is my other (store-bought) pouch that goes everywhere with me. It contains a basic first aid kit, lots of Band-Aids because I love them, feminine products, pain relievers, etc. I'm not sure the two pouches really coordinate, but whatevs.

And, my girlfriend, the world's best decoupager, made me a super sweet sewing kit that I have to show off!
