Pictures from a craft party
Sep. 22nd, 2008 10:33 pmI helped co-host a lolita (japanese fashion style, cute frilly stuff) craft party weekend before last. We decorated cupcakes and cookies, sewed hair bows and made cutesy jewelry out of clay. I thought you girls might enjoy some pictures of what we made.
Also, I was wondering who else here throws craft parties? Do you always have a theme or do you just freestyle craft it up with your friends? What do you do to keep it fun?

My friend and I made a best friends cookie, like a best friends necklace.

I love the frosting syringe.

I'm not sure which I love more: hello kitty or strawberries with faces.

I taught everyone how to make hairbows from this tutorial:

venus_ivy made a set of cute fluffy white bows to put onto hairties.

tokyofro made a cute polka dot bow.
I made hairbows to match my silly sweets PJ pants.

Some of us were super quick and bows and moved onto jewelery. Lots of fun stuff was being made: beaded necklaces, clay charms, sweets rings and so on.

Using chaulk to make "frosting" bits was hilarious and terribly messy.

Showing of my new blingage:

Smallest, cutest chocolate bonbons ever.

brynnmyrddin is a crafty genius and busts out the knitting, or is it crocheting? Clearly I am not a crafty genius.
