RE: OWLS


Ok so to answer a bunch of questions in my previous post about the owls I thought I would make a post and that way I don't get all confused and copy and paste the same answer to all your comments which by the way made my day today (My goddaughter is in critical condition at the hospital she's 6 and I've been worried and crazy all day)

I do sell them to friends and people who ask to buy one or two but I'm not actively selling them (it's more like a hobby right now) and no I don't have an etsy page although in the future I do want to have one with some purses and bags I have designed (designed meaning they are just drawings right now since i don't have a sewing machine). Also I guess the most important question is will I make a tutorial and the answer is sure! I love sharing crafty ideas...I'll try to get to it this weekend on my days off :)

BUT in the meantime I can definitely give you links to where I got the idea...I created my own pattern from this Japanese book my friend got when he was studying over there and then from flikr photos I saw HERE ->http://www.flickr.com/groups/559733@N24/pool/ AND then I followed links to find that this person has a tutorial on how to make one...my pattern is basically the same but I just sized it to my liking and I do the bottom differently from hers but it's very similar and easy to follow -> http://moonstitches.typepad.com/moonstitches/ go to the her blog on the right sidebar there is a tutorial called Tutowlrial and you will find directions. Also someone on my previous post posted some links to a owl tutorial similar to the one Moonstiches does the pattern is a bit different but not too much.

Now what to do with all the adorable owls??? well I give them away as gifts to all my teacher friends because owls represent wisdom. I like to give friends cute small things to put at their work desks, or computer desks at home or one time I made a set for my friend's baby room with the colors of her nursery. Or you can be weird like me and keep them all other your room hahaha I like them because no matter what you are doing when you glance at one you just have to smile!

Alright now since I do have a BUNCH if you leave me a comment on this post I'll put everyones names in a hat and choose a member to get a pair as a gift from me! (I'll wait until tomorrow at 5pm PST to close it so whoever wants to comment can) Cause I like giving gifts!
