glue question
Oct. 1st, 2008 04:20 pmHello!
Ok, I have a question to ask of you crafty types. I'm looking for a glue to do some collaging of paper but I don't want it to end up shiny, which PVA/elmers glue does. I'm sort of loathed to use spray adhesive though, I don't have great lungs and I don't want to be breathing in more air born chemicals than I have too.
The only thing I can think of is to use watered down PVA and then matt varnish it, but surely there must be a better way to do it!
What do you guys use, and/or have you any suggestions? I'm in Australia, so any aus crafters who want to help with this one I'd be especially grateful. I found Yamato Sticking Paste on www.thistothat.com but I don't know if you can get it here.
And jsut so this post isnt text only, here is a marionette I made a few years ago out of string, plastic bags and a little bit of liquid latex for effect. The idea behind her is she's all the memories in a city congealed into solid form.

You can find the simple (and image loaded) tutorial I based it on here: http://www.puppets2000.com/index6a.html
