So I started this little granny square afghan with a ball of leftover yarn (the variegated purple/green) and now... I'm stuck on what I should do. This is the point it's at right now, and I don't know if I should continue to add onto it or not, for a few reasons. One, the simple purple border is nice, and clean. Adding more layers... I don't know, will it make it look too bulky and weird? Also, I'm worried that it's going to start to ruffle, because of the added group of stitching between the squares where they're sewn together. Maybe I shouldn't have done that, but I didn't stop to think, and just put one there. Now, maybe I could use a hook one size smaller (either from here on out or in alternating rows) and that would prevent it, but I don't know. The only reason I don't want to just stop now is that it's kinda small and useless. That, and I bought a bunch of green and purple to do the border, but I can always use that on something else, so it's not that big a deal. Mostly it's the small size. It'd be a great baby blanket, I guess, but I don't exactly know anyone having a baby right now (sure, I could just hang on to it, I suppose). I just... don't know what I should do with it! Opinions, comments, ideas?
Sorry about the color, this picture doesn't do it justice. The crisp white and deep purple are gorgeous together! I have a few other pics
