zippers and stuff

What I've made at work (so much down time!) in the last two days:

Pencil pouch for my sister, this is the first time I have sewn a zipper on, I did it all by hand and with my own understanding of how a zipper is put on hahaha stumbled a bit on the way but I think it turned out really cute (my sister picked the colors):





I need to work on making the inside neater and after making this one I thought up of different ways already to improve it.





THEN I was jealous so I made this little bag for my suitcase (aka my work bag where everything gets lost haha) I put in my hand lotion, chap stick, gum, pocket mirror, and nail file, you know all the essentials! It was also a great way to show off some of my favorite buttons from my special collection. I think I'm getting ideas for some stuff for the shop and also for CHRISTMAS presents!!!!! yes yes I'm gonna start planning early the best presents are handmade, at least that's what I think.





OH! and I went to the Hope Chest the other day just to look around and I almost died! DIED! They had a TON of buttons oh.my.god. if you know me you KNOW that I'm CRAZY over buttons I'm really trying to save money and be smart and this almost broke that promise to myself!!! I seriously walked around the store for like 10 minutes thinking about whether or not I should get them hahaha but in the end I ended up spending a total of 75 cents hahaha on a zipper (new only 29 cents) and two white saucers (19 cents each) so yeah big spender huh?! I'm planning on going back on payday and if they are still there then they were meant to go home with me if not then that's ok no biggie I'll just cry a little.

This is what I plan to do with the saucers maybe not sure yet I'm thinking of putting some twigs in there (two of my favorite owls from the last batch):
