altering a children's costume?
Oct. 19th, 2008 06:02 pmSo, I was at my local Zellers this weekend when I heard an announcement from the speakers "Halloween costumes are 50% this evening"
Needless to say, I jumped at the chance for discounted goods.
I ended up picking up a child's size 7/8 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costume (Leonardo ftw!) momentarily forgetting that I am not by any means child size. But seriously, for $12 how could I resist?! When I got home and tried it on, I was delighted with the look of it...aside from the raging camel toe in the miror. At any rate, my question is:
Is there any possible way to add some much needed leg room without completely destroying the costume?
Alternatively, I could go buy some green leggings and turn it into a one-piece bathing suit, but I'm hoping you ladies have something in mind?
For reference:
