Oct. 27th, 2008 12:39 pmHello ladies,
I'm helping a friend make his costume for Halloween and he's going as Cthulhu. He already has the body done with paper mache, but we're having trouble figuring out how to do the top half of the costume - the torso, face, scales, and tentacles. Any insight on how/if I can pull this off would be very much appreciated. I was thinking building a frame out of chicken wire/mesh and either using paper mache or sculpey to build off of that to make a mask kind of like this http://www.masksbyjen.com/ Cthulhu_Mask.htm might work, but he's worried about getting a sea-weedy/wet look and I'm worried about the tentacles falling off and am not sure how to get them to stick out like that.. I'm running short on time and funds are limited, but I'd really like to help him if I can. In short, help!
