Birds & Bracelets
Oct. 27th, 2008 07:42 pmHello there, members of Craftgrrl! :D My name's V, and I've recently joined this group after being referred to it by

I fell in love with the centerpiece for this one at Michaels, I just had to get it and use it. I'm really happy with the colour.

I've seen a lot of cut-out bird pendants around lately, and wanted to take a shot and see where I could take the idea. The places to attach the bird to the necklace are kinda ackward, but it's ok because I made it asymmetrical :D (That's hard to do without fudging it, I've learned).

The first necklace I was actually able to calculate how much it cost to make, 10$ not including seed beads. Also one of the first that I had a clear idea of what I wanted to make.

What happens when you don't do asymmetrical right. I got the color combos from the butterfly though, and there's a giant chunk of turquoise with half a needle stuck in it on the side.

The bottom one's'neat 'cause it's ribbon, not string.

I really like the copper findings I bought, and copper and cream just go so well together.

I used some of my super-special-sparkly-amazing-cube beads in the middle bracelet. It was worth it.
