A tatted rose

A tatted rose that I made for a friend for her birthday.

Next time I make one of these I'll place the petals better, but aside from that I'm really very happy with this one, and my friend loved it!

It's a nice, cheery little flower that will never wilt.
I learned several new tatting techniques to make the rose, so when I finished it I practiced one of them (pearl tatting) a bit more on these two bracelets:

All of these were made with normal stranded embroidery cotton (a mix of DMC and Anchor), with some beads for the bracelets and some wire in the rose stem.
