Siberian Husky drop spindle

craftgrrlI just finished this spindle, of a Siberian Husky sled dog team!
The test yarn on the spindle is actual husky fur! I figured it would add to the authenticity of the spindle ;) For those that don't know, a drop spindle is an ancient tool, made for spinning fibers into yarns. It spins like a top, twisting the fibers into a tight thread.
I love it, and now just need to get photos of the current customs I have almost done! I really love making spindles, because they have so much character to them, and personality of their own.
