Very bored, very image heavy...
Nov. 12th, 2008 01:19 amSo it's been a looong time since I've made a post. This a bunch of my pottery from when I worked at a paint-your-own pottery store. Plus some other miscellaneous items...
First off, the miscellaneous...

A couple bracelets I whipped up. I cut apart some old necklaces I never wore and busted out my hemp.

Some magnets I made. Pearler beads and marbles.

Cardboard, pages from an old book, watered down acrylic, red sharpie.

Foo Fighters. The image came from a magazine. The yellow writing is just handwritten lyrics on a notepad. Yeah... I had a lot of time on my hand.

John Lennon. I had this newspaper for a few years before I decided to do anything with it.

It was 20 degrees and snowing today so I did a little painting on some scrap cardboard of where I wanted to be. Yeah, dorky.
Onward to the pottery!

This was one of the first things I did after I started working at the store. It's suppose to be my dog, Chili.

Just a simple plate I splatter painted.

I was feeling very colorful that day. I couldn't get all of the lettering in one picture, but it says "redefine" (as in the Incubus song). It's a pencil cup.

I feel kind of bad because I copied this one out of a magazine and I have no idea where to find an image of the original. Oh well. Dinner plate sized.

Unlike the other pottery I've done, this one was made on the wheel (rather than being bisqueware). My boss made it and I painted it.

I wanted this one to look tie-dye.

Another little pencil cup.

One of my favorite things to do was mess with the "traditional" glazes. I threw a bunch on this one. Dessert plate sized.

Hah. We had a bunch of these leftover right before the shop closed. We had them FOREVER. I don't know why no one wanted to paint them... so I did.

My attempt at making a plate look like a Beatles Apple Record. Google it.
My favorite for last...

CONVERSE PIGGY BANK.
THE END!
