Modifying a pre made hoodie hood for one of my needs?

Can I add a snap closer to part of the hood on my hoody, so it'll stay closer to my lips chin nose ? It's a 6 xl male so the hood is extreamly generous in size, but I'd like to have it a lil closer to my face to keep warmer, and the drawstring doesn't affect the middle of the face, just the  outline.
